I highly recommend if you enjoy the outdoors purchasing the NY Empire Pass yearly. It allows you to have yearly access to all state parks, beaches and forests. It is well worth the money to have and now they have an app on your phone that allows you to plan visits and learn about many events planned for the parks and beaches!
